Isaiah 43:1-4 (I especially like to insert my name wherever the passage refers to Jacob/Israel—try it!)

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. What is your favorite thing to do? I love to travel, play games and watch movies with my family and friends.
Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ….
It’s important to remember that our real reward is in heaven and not in this world.

Favorite Movie: One of my favorite movies is “You’ve Got Mail” but I love almost any movie with Manhattan as the setting.
When do you do your best thinking? I do some of my best thinking when I’m in church. I hear one word from a sermon or a song and it helps me solve problems and make plans for the rest of the week. I also do some amazing thinking in the streets and subways of NYC. Yes…we love Manhattan and lived there during 9/11. A big piece of our hearts remain there.
Favorite book: My favorite fiction books are medical thrillers by Robin Cook. My most challenging and rewarding book to read is the Bible.
Favorite food: I love Mexican food - especially Chuy’s where Dave and I had our first date. I am also a fan of the Friday night “all you can eat” fried shrimp special at Asiel’s in Lake Jackson. Invite me along anytime and I’ll embarrass you with how much I can eat.
Dream vacation?? My dream vacation is in Bora Bora.

Favorite thing about FUMC?? I love the Praise Band, especially the drummer (who happens to be my husband.) I also truly love the people there - from the young kids to the seniors. Many of them have been a big part of our lives since we moved here to Lake Jackson in 2012.
